One of my recent sessions was in Bristow, VA at a historic battlefield park, with lots of gorgeous trees and sunlight and tall grass. The weather was PERFECT and the kids were happy and full of energy! It was a bit of a challenge getting a portrait with all three of them, but we made it happen ;)

My precious, adorable twin nephews have arrived!!! They decided to show up a little early and got to hang out in the NICU for a while, but they're doing just fine, now :)
Here are their "Welcome to the World" pics!

A dancer friend of mine recently inquired about getting some headshots, and I was SO EXCITED. I immediately asked if we could also do some dance shots, because it's something I've always wanted to photograph. While I may have never actually taken a dance class myself, I love dancing around the house (and I'm totally awesome... you just don't even know) and watching So, You Think You Can Dance? The lines and the passion and the movement and the emotion... I mean seriously, who DOESN'T love dance?!
Anyway, she was awesome and said yes.
So, here we go! A few of my favorite headshots and some of my favorite dance shots from the day.
We met downtown early on a spring Sunday morning, with beautiful light and hardly anybody out and about to get in our way, and we immediately got to work. Although, I feel weird calling it "work", because we for real had so much fun!

In April, I had some of my favorite sessions, since I've been back in business. One of them was a newborn session with the sweetest little 8 week old girl! I just looooove working with precious babies, so I was super excited for this one. The cloudy/rainy weather wasn't what I was hoping for, but they had a beautiful home, and the soft light coming in through the windows worked wonderfully!
Here are a few of my favorites from the day :)
